Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 are commercially pure nickel alloys known for their excellent corrosion resistance, good electrical and thermal properties and stable performance in both chemical and high-temperature environments. The materials are used where high purity, good formability and reliable chemical resistance are essential.
Nickel 201 is a low-carbon version of Nickel 200 and is primarily used at elevated temperatures where the risk of graphitization is reduced and mechanical stability is maintained over time.
Nickel 200 / 201 offers very good resistance to many chemicals, especially alkaline environments. The alloys have high ductility, good weldability and can be formed into complex components. The high nickel content provides a stable structure and good conductivity.
- Type: Commercially pure nickel alloy
- Alloy: Ni (Nickel 200 / Nickel 201)
- Structure: FCC nickel structure
- Designations: Nickel 200 UNS N02200, Nickel 201 UNS N02201, ASTM B160, ASTM B162
Chemical industry
Reactors, tanks and piping systems for alkaline processes.
Electronics and energy
Components where good conductivity is required.
Food and process equipment
Equipment where material purity and corrosion resistance are important.
High temperature applications
Nickel 201 is used where stability is required at elevated temperatures.
Nickel 200 / 201 has very good resistance to caustic solutions, neutral salts and many organic chemicals. The materials perform well in environments where pure nickel is required to resist chemical degradation.
