INCONEL® 625 is a nickel-based superalloy known for its outstanding resistance to corrosion and oxidation in both high and low temperature environments. Alloyed with chromium, molybdenum, and niobium, it offers high tensile strength, excellent creep resistance, and superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting – even in chloride-rich and marine conditions. The material does not require hardening, as its mechanical properties are achieved through its unique composition.
Typical applications INCONEL® 625
- Components in offshore and marine environments - Combustion chambers and exhaust systems in aerospace and racing industries - Heat exchangers and reactor vessels in the chemical and nuclear industries - Equipment for emission control and flue gas purification
With temperature resistance up to approximately 982 °C (1800 °F), INCONEL® 625 is a reliable choice for critical and demanding applications.
Recommended filler materials for welding include INCONEL® 625 and welding electrodes such as INCONEL® 112.
