Nickel alloy UNS N06200 / Alloy 2000 – properties, applications and technical data
UNS N06200, or Alloy 2000, is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with the addition of copper, developed for very good corrosion resistance in aggressive chemical environments.
The alloy combines resistance to both oxidizing and reducing media and is often used in process equipment where standard stainless steels or simpler nickel alloys do not provide sufficient performance.
UNS N06200 is used in the chemical process industry, petrochemical plants, flue gas cleaning and other equipment where high corrosion resistance and long service life are crucial.
Properties of UNS N06200
UNS N06200 is a nickel-based alloy where chromium provides resistance to oxidizing environments while molybdenum and copper improve resistance in reducing chemical environments.
The alloy is developed to offer broad corrosion protection in applications where several types of chemical attack may occur simultaneously.
