UNS C17510 / RWMA Class 3
Alloy 3 is a copper-beryllium alloy with high strength, excellent electrical conductivity and good formability. The material combines mechanical strength with low relaxation, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring high contact force and dimensional stability.
The alloy is resistant to corrosion and maintains its properties even in harsh environments with high temperatures. Alloy 3 is often used in applications where both electrical performance and mechanical reliability are crucial.
- Contacts, relays and switches
- Spring components in electronics
- Components for the aerospace and defense industry
- High temperature environments where low material fatigue is required
- High tensile strength: up to approx. 900 MPa
- Electrical conductivity: approx. 50% IACS
- Very good formability and cold working
- Low creep and relaxation under load
- Good corrosion resistance even in aggressive environments
Usually supplied as wire, sheet, strip or bars – always with certification and full traceability according to international standards.
