Cobalt alloy Alloy L-605 – properties, applications and technical data
Alloy L-605 is a cobalt-based superalloy known for its excellent high-temperature strength, good oxidation resistance and very good resistance to wear and galling.
The material maintains its mechanical properties at elevated temperatures and is commonly used in demanding environments where both heat and mechanical load are present.
The alloy is primarily strengthened by solid solution hardening and work hardening rather than heat treatment.
Properties of Alloy L-605
Alloy L-605 belongs to the family of cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloys and offers a strong combination of high-temperature performance, corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.
