Alloy 263, also known as NIMONIC® 263, is an age-hardenable nickel-based superalloy developed for high strength, good formability and excellent oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures. The alloy is specifically designed for components in gas turbines and other high-temperature environments where the combination of creep resistance, structural stability and good weldability is essential.
Alloy 263 is alloyed with nickel, cobalt, chromium and molybdenum to provide high temperature strength and very good oxidation resistance up to approximately 870°C. The material exhibits stable microstructure, good ductility and reliable performance under prolonged thermal stress. Compared to many other superalloys, Alloy 263 also offers very good weldability and formability in the solution-treated condition.
