INCOLOY® alloy MA956 (UNS S67956) is an iron-chromium-aluminum alloy strengthened by oxide dispersion through mechanical alloying, incorporating yttrium oxide particles for enhanced properties. Originally developed as an aerospace superalloy, it is now used in various industrial applications due to its excellent strength, fabricability, and resistance to prolonged exposure up to 1300°C (2400°F). The alloy offers outstanding oxidation resistance and significant creep strength up to its high melting point of 1482°C (2700°F). It is commonly used in applications such as hearth rollers, radiant tubes, heat shields, burner nozzles, and combustion chamber components for diesel engines.
