Titanium Grade 23 is an alloyed titanium alloy based on Ti-6Al-4V with extra low interstitials (ELI). It combines very high strength with excellent toughness, biocompatibility and good corrosion resistance. Thanks to its superior mechanical properties, Titanium Grade 23 is primarily used in medical technology, implants, the aerospace industry and other critical applications where reliability is crucial.
The reduced content of oxygen, iron and other interstitial substances gives Titanium Grade 23 improved toughness and fatigue strength compared to standard Grade 5. The material has a two-phase structure (α+β), which provides an optimal balance between strength, ductility and long service life even under cyclic loading.
