Alloy 59 is a high-alloy nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy developed for extreme corrosion resistance in very aggressive chemical environments.
The alloy has very low carbon and silicon content, which minimizes the risk of intercrystalline corrosion and improves the material's performance in oxidizing and reducing environments.
Alloy 59 is often used in the chemical process industry, environmental technology and power generation where components are exposed to very aggressive acids, chlorides and high temperatures.
Alloy 59 is a nickel-based alloy with high chromium and molybdenum contents that provides excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
The alloy offers very good stability in both oxidizing and reducing environments. chemical environments and is often used where other corrosion-resistant alloys are not sufficient.
Alloy 59 offers very high resistance to both oxidizing and reducing acids and very good resistance to chlorides.
The alloy is often used in applications where both pitting and stress corrosion cracking are critical factors.
