Alloy 13-8 PH is a precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steel that combines very high strength with good toughness and corrosion resistance.
The alloy was developed for applications where high mechanical strength, good fatigue strength and stable properties are required in demanding environments.
13-8 PH is often used in the aerospace industry, the energy sector and other advanced technical applications where both strength and reliability are crucial.
13-8 PH is a precipitation hardening stainless steel where high strength is achieved through heat treatment. The combination of chromium, nickel and aluminium provides good corrosion resistance and stable mechanical properties.
The material offers very good toughness even at high strength and is often used in components where both strength and dimensional stability are important.
Alloy 13-8 PH offers good corrosion resistance in many industrial environments and comparable resistance to several other precipitation hardening stainless steels.
