Alloy C-276 – Properties, applications and technical data
Alloy C-276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with tungsten addition, developed for extreme corrosion resistance in aggressive environments.
The material is known for its ability to resist both oxidizing and reducing media as well as localized corrosion such as pitting and crevice corrosion.
The alloy is used where chemical resistance, weldability and long-term operational reliability are crucial – especially in the chemical process industry, environmental technology and energy systems.
Properties of Alloy C-276
Alloy C-276 (UNS N10276 / Werkstoffnr 2.4819) has a high molybdenum content that provides very good resistance to localized corrosion.
The low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation during welding and preserves resistance to intercrystalline corrosion in heat-affected zones.
The material exhibits excellent resistance to acids, chlorides, chlorine gas, wet chlorine and other aggressive chemicals.
